This report summarizes activities findings of YVO during year 2019, focusing on system. Highlights 2019 included deploying a portable seismic array near Steamboat Geyser in Norris Basin that recorded signals from seven major water eruptions; semipermanent Global Positioning System array; surveying soil carbon dioxide flux temperature operating an eddy covariance system make continuous measurements; collecting analyzing samples Shoshone Basin, outlets Lewis Lakes, Cinder Pool several locations along Obsidian Creek; exploring documenting new thermal area Tern Lake was discovered 2018; measuring specific conductance rivers determine chloride total heat output system; conducting inventory features Upper as part park-wide project began sampling tree rings silica sinter deposits better understand over time.Continuing pattern started 2018, Geyser, erupted 48 times 2019—a record for calendar year! Overall, however, noteworthy geyser National Park much reduced relative previous year. Thermal Hill had returned their normal styles after Ear Spring’s September 2018 eruption did not show any significant changes 2019. Most distant and ancient supernovae discovered by the Subaru Telescope. In the image, which show the Subaru Deep Field, numerous supernovae related to white dwarfs were found, and ten of them had exploded more than ten billion years ago. This discovery gives an important clue to study how the heavy elements created in the ancient universe (Graur et al.

The Pierre Auger Observatory is a large international effort to provide measurements of extensive air showers (EAS) initiated in the upper atmosphere by cosmic rays with energies above 10 eV , the Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays (UHECR’s). The explanations for the origin, acceleration processes and composition of the UHECR’s face theoretical and experimental difficulties, due to the extremely low...

The creation and delivery of power is one basic infrastructure expected by all modern industrial societies. Power distribution basics started in the US in the early 1900s when the first AC grid was established. Since 12 independent power grids were completed in the lower 48 states in the mid-1950s, reliability has been a customer concern. Parts of these earlier grids have been updated, and four...
